Kachori is one of the most popular spicy snacks in Uttar Pradesh. It is known b different names that are Kachodi, Katchuri, Kachauri. It is said to have originated from either Uttar Pradesh or Rajasthan. It is equally popular in Delhi, Gujrat, Bengal, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Kachori is a flattened round ball made out of flour with certain fillings. These filings may vary from place to place. Mostly it is filled with Moong Dal, Urad Dal or onions and spice. Preferred as a snack most of the parts of Uttar Pradesh serve this dish. It is served along with chilli, pickle, chutney or curd. Khasta Kachauri and Raj Kachauri are different kinds of dishes made out of it and served s a chaat.
