It is prepared by preparing rice with vegetable. It is cooked in ghee. At places in this vegetarian dish even egg is added. It is one of the most popular dishes of the state. Potato, beans, peas, tomato, cauliflower and other vegetables are added to the rice. It is served hot along with a green chilli pickle or chutney. Although it can be eaten without pairing it with any individually prepared vegetable, but many prefer to have it otherwise to add extra taste and flavour to it.
