Banganga Fair, Jaipur Rajasthan India

Known as the pink city, the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is known for its fort, palaces and havelis. It is no longer confined to that. Today it hosts many festivals and fairs as well that it is known for. Banganga Fair is one amongst them.

It is celebrated on a religious belief that the arrow that Arjuna shot formed a spring that helped to quench the thirst of Bhishma Pitamah who was injured in battle of Mahabharta. Many devotees during the festival bath in the Bhangara river. It is suppose to wash away their sins. Prayers are offered in the temples of Hanuman and Shiva as well. Its a great time to be present in this festival.
