Awsome trip to Jaipur City

Jaipur also known as Pink City. The reason behind this name is that their building is painted with pink colour and it has its own history. During ancient time Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur to welcome their guest painted the whole city with pink colour as it indicates the colour of hospitality.

So now I shall start with my experience to the pink city. I went with my friends for a short college trip to Jaipur in Feb 2013 from Delhi. We had started our journey from 10 am and reaches around 5 pm in the evening. In the night we went to CHAUKI DHANI, it is a great concept for the ones who to want to see and experience the Rajasthani culture, traditions and arts with wonderful ambience and also includes Rajasthani folk dance (Ghoomer), camel ride, folk music and delicious traditional food and much more. Instead of being tired we enjoyed a lot.

And the very next day we went to our next destination and that was AMER FORT it is located on a hill. It is one of the famous and most beautiful forts of Rajasthan, basically it is a mixture of both Hindu and Muslim architecture and constructed with marbles and red sandstone. It consists of Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Sheesh Mahal and Sukh Niwas. There is one more fort and that is JAIGARH FORT. Both are located on the hill which is Cheel Ka Teela of the Aravalli range and these two forts are connected by the passage under earth surface. While coming back to hotel we have seen HAWA MAHAL and JAL MAHAL too.

Our next destination on the other day was NAHAGARH FORT. It is located on the border line of the Aravalli Hills and has a very beautiful and mesmerizing view of the city of Jaipur up from the top and yes this is that place where some scenes of the movies Rang De Basanti and Shuddh Desi Romance were shooted.

After this our last destination was JANTAR MANTAR it is located near Hawa Mahal. Jantar Mantar basically consists of instruments for measuring time. Here people can visit from 9 am to 4:30 pm only. After all the wonderful experiences we went to Bapu Market for shopping at the end as next day we need to start our journey back to Delhi. So this is all about my experience during my trip to Jaipur and will suggest all of you to visit this city as it have many places to look into.
